Angel Flight West’s network of volunteer pilots provides free transportation to people in medical need – and I’m very happy to be part of it.
All flights are of non-urgent nature, and most of them serve the purpose of flying weakened patients with chronic conditions that require special treatment not available in their home towns to Seattle and back. That saves them stressful drives that could easily take a half day or longer each way.
The volunteering pilots donate their time, skills, plane, and fuel. I’ve completed more than 25 such cross-country flights in the Pacific NW, and am happy to take on more.
My sister Yvonne has MS – a wicked disease, and one more reason for me to offer a service like this!
